GPS Track Editor is a Windows application to edit GPS tracks. Track GPS is a sequence of points with latitude, longitude, date, and time and possibly some other parameters.

Basic GPS Track Editor

These things may not be exact due to several factors and that is why the track can look weird and ugly.GPS Track Editor offers a way to look at the track with much better. GPS Track Editor is a tool to view, edit, and clean up your GPS tracks.
Basic GPS Track Editor: The Trek
The file format is the most popular tracks GPX (GPS eXchange Format) based on XML. Usually contain separate tracks divided into several segments. The same structure is used in the GPS Track Editor since GPX is the original format. To avoid confusion, the terminology used in the following applications:

• Track edge is a line between two points adjacent tracks.
• Track segment is a continuous range of data tracks. Segments are usually broken when GPS reception is lost, or GPS reception is turned off.
• Track folder incorporates several logically sequential track segments connected to each other. For example, a folder can correspond to one-day trips or travel.
• Track file consists of tracks and equated with file folders.
• Track can represent the elements. This refers to the segment, folders, or files.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Layout
The main panel of the application consists of:

• Panel tracks featuring tracks that were opened as a tree structure.Each file can track consists of segments that are incorporated in the folder. Active track in accordance with the selected element in the list.
• Panel track property and active track properties.
• Panel displays point coordinates, time, and other attributes of the track.Currently, in accordance with the track point selected line in the list.
• Property dots show the properties of the track point.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Filter point
When you delete a track point (either manually or by applying multiple filters), the point is still stored on the track but is characterized by the filter. If the View | Filtered points are alive, gray dots in the list of points and edges of the adjacent line is shown as a dash-dot black.
If the points are filtered / unfiltered will be better, it can be recovered back. If you are sure that all the filtered point is invalid, you can completely remove all the points by selecting Filter | Delete filtered points.
Basic GPS Track Editor: View mode tracks
The track is shown as a solid line in the main view. Each track segment has its own color. Selected track in the track list is displayed differently according to the option selected.
Direction tracks
End of the track can be displayed as arrows to understand the direction of the track. This option can be enabled in the View | Arrows in the box menu or by clicking the arrow icon on the toolbar.
Value representation
You can choose the mode to color the tracks to represent local properties (using View | Color by on the menu). Various color mode tracks:

• Color by segment - Each track segment has its own color. To change the color of the segment, click on the color box and select a new track list one of the palette.
• Color by average speed - Using an average speed of more natural look. This helps to understand the general behavior of the track.
• Color by maximum speed - Maximum speed can be used to detect the singularity or extreme point of the track. This mode can help to clean up the track riding.
• Color by elevation - Color depends on the average height of the edge of the path.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Restructuring GPS Tracks
The tracks are formed by both easier to navigate and work with. It may look better because of the long end in the absence of GPS fixes be dropping between segments no traction.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Editing manual GPS tracks
You can remove the part of the track (segment or folder) by pressing the Delete button in the track list. This action can not be undone.
To delete a single track point, right-click on a track and select Remove.
