  • Track edge is a line between two points adjacent tracks.
  • Track segment is a continuous range of data tracks. Segments are usually broken when GPS reception is lost, or GPS reception is turned off.
  • Track folder incorporates several logically sequential track segments connected to each other. For example, a folder can correspond to one-day trips or travel.
  • Track file consists of tracks and equated with file folders.
  • Track can represent the elements. This refers to the segment, folders, or files.

  • Panel tracks featuring tracks that were opened as a tree structure. Each file can track consists of segments that are incorporated in the folder. Active track in accordance with the selected element in the list.
  • Panel track property and active track properties.
  • Panel displays point coordinates, time, and other attributes of the track.Currently, in accordance with the track point selected line in the list.
  • Property dots show the properties of the track point.
  • The main display panel displays all of the tracks as a pathway. Selected track will be displayed differently (as an arrow with a broader line). The current point is marked with a white circle.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Filter point
When you delete a track point (either manually or by applying multiple filters), the point is still stored on the track but is characterized by the filter. If the View | Filtered points are alive, gray dots in the list of points and edges of the adjacent line is shown as a dash-dot black.
If the points are filtered / unfiltered will be better, it can be recovered back. If you are sure that all the filtered point is invalid, you can completely remove all the points by selecting Filter | Delete filtered points.

  • Color by segment - Each track segment has its own color. To change the color of the segment, click on the color box and select a new track list one of the palette.
  • Color by average speed - Using an average speed of more natural look. This helps to understand the general behavior of the track.
  • Color by maximum speed - Maximum speed can be used to detect the singularity or extreme point of the track. This mode can help to clean up the track riding.
  • Color by elevation - Color depends on the average height of the edge of the path.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Restructuring GPS Tracks
The tracks are formed by both easier to navigate and work with. It may look better because of the long end in the absence of GPS fixes be dropping between segments no traction.
You can rearrange the tracks and segments folder by clicking the Track | Restructure. The algorithm runs along the track and start a new segment if the time interval between the point of the track exceeds the selected threshold. These structures often correspond to logical pebagian of a track.
Basic GPS Track Editor: Merging GPS Tracks
There are two common cases when using the Track function | Merge.
  1. If you have multiple GPS track recorded by GPS receivers are the same, you can join the GPS tracks into a single track. Tracks can overlap or coincide.
  2. If the same path recorded by several different GPS receiver, you can combine the GPS reception. Usually tracks unified look better and smoother than the individual.

Basic GPS Track Editor: Elimination of damage tracks
GPS technology is not precise. GPS tracks often contain a leap, spread, jittler, and other irregularities. GPS Track Editor provides several methods to eliminate these deviations.

Filter out local inconsistencies
Local filtering algorithm to estimate the consistency between a point adjacent lanes and eliminating the least harmonious. It only affects locally, and therefore can not eliminate some types of damage. In other cases, it is too tight and can remove the normal point. It is advisable to check the deleted point filtration pay attention to changes in U. To restore points are deleted tracks, right click on it and select Restore.
To apply this filter to the selected track, select Filters | Local inconsistencies.
Filter by value
The algorithm tracks the value of filtration to remove a point if some value (velocity or acceleration) exceeds the threshold. For example, to trace the pedestrian at speeds greater than 6 mph (10 km / h) can be removed.
